Summary:

In one or two sentences, or using bullet points, briefly describe the primary function/basic purpose of the position. Under general supervision, assists in the development and administration of policies and programs covering several of the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Communication, Affirmative Action, Staffing, Training, Organizational Development, Compensation and Benefits. Assist with developing and implementing policies and training programs. May participate in labor negotiations and administration of labor agreements.


Requirements:

8-10 years experience with General Human Resource Functions Bachelor’s Degree


Required Skills or Abilities:  In order of importance, list the specific skills or abilities which a qualified individual should possess (e.g., computer literacy, subject knowledge, etc.).

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor all levels of employees in a diverse environment
  • Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment (union and nonunion)
  • Strong PC and software skills: SAP, Access, MS Office,
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Additional Comments:

  • Scope: The position will report to the NJ Custer HR Manager, will serve as a member of the East Hanover Plant Manager’s Staff and the East Hanover Core Safety Team.
